Overview
I designed a feature for SkySlope Books, an accounting platform for real estate, to make invoicing less of a headache for accountants and agents.
Instead of sending invoices one by one, accountants can now issue a single summary invoice—saving hours of repetitive work. On the flip side, agents get a simplified experience allowing them to pay one sum to the total amount due to their brokerage. Payments are then automatically applied to the oldest unpaid invoices first, reducing the need to keep track of oldest vs latest due dates and amounts.
Less clicking, fewer emails, and a lot more clarity—for everyone involved.
The problem
Sending invoices one by one was eating up way too much of accountants' time, while agents had to deal with extra mental load in keeping track of multiple balances and due dates.
The old workflow was messy, prone to errors, and led to frustrating follow-ups on missed payments. It was time for a smarter, cleaner approach.
Old Experience
Solution proposed
For accountants: A streamlined workflow to issue a single summary invoice covering multiple balances.
Real-time emails for agents when they have a new statement.
For agents: A simplified payment experience allowing them to pay one total amount without having to worry about due dates and their respective invoice balances.

This feature brought much-needed simplicity to an otherwise tedious invoicing process, helping both sides save time and avoid frustration. Things this feature brought for everyone was:
Time saved for accountants: Fewer repetitive tasks, more time for real work.
Simplified agent experience: Pay quickly, no login headaches.
Increased accuracy: Automated payment allocation reduced reconciliation errors which meant less calls for our Support team!
The result? Clearer workflows, happier users, and a smoother financial experience within SkySlope Books.
